The Higher Consciousness Society (HCS), a non-profit spiritual education organization, is an outgrowth of the book Confessions of a God Seeker: A Journey to Higher Consciousness by author and HCS founder, Ford Johnson.  It offers a support system and a creative opportunity for expressing one's individuality in the truest spiritual sense. While it recognizes what is truth in all religions, philosophies and spiritual paths, HCS is not a religion or path in itself, yet its philosophy, the New Spiritual Paradigm embodies the highest of spiritual truths.

Our journey through many lifetimes takes place within a system of divine love and encompasses many dimensions of reality. The goal of this journey is to expand our awareness to the realization that we are one with ALL THAT IS.

The new spiritual paradigm is not based on religious doctrine, dogma or spiritual hierarchical constructs. Instead, it teaches that spiritual knowledge and wisdom is not fixed, but expands as consciousness unfolds to embrace it. HCS provides insight, instruction, guidance and support that leads to the enlightenment and empowerment of souls, freeing them from all forms of spiritual entrapment . This is called The Great Work.

Central to its viewpoint is the mantra, I AM, GOD IS, WE ARE ONE. HCS recognizes that the higher self of each individual is God-soul, an atom of ALL THAT IS. As such, it contains all the attributes and potential of God and is the true Inner Master. At the same time, it is unique and an individualized expression of IT . Thus, the life of each person is his own individual path to God.
